Video Premiere: Soft Grid – A Century Behind

Soft Grid are back with a new release and with that a video for one of the tracks from this release, titled “A Century Behind“. Since their first album they’re still in an experimental field when it comes to their music, but they have carefully toned their sound into something that could be said to be their own.

Drawing from everything and nothing, Soft Grid doesn’t leave you with any disappointment when listening and viewing this video – even though some of it may be uncanny at first, it grows on you and you begin to enjoy it.

Their new album is titled “Agency“, it is due to be released on the Berlin-based label Antime.

Exclusive Premiere: Majestoluxe – Ghost Net

Kess Kill and Repartiseraren work together yet again, bringing you a new exclusive premiere from the forthcoming release “Septic Shock” by Majestoluxe.

It is what you could expect to come from Kess Kill, but in a different way then former releases. Some of it seems like it has been drawn out directly from Public Image Ltd., mixed into oblivion with sinister industrial landscapes and other inwardly looking and alternative music. Especially the song that we’re going to premiere for you.

“Ghost Net” is a concoction that brings together all the dark vibes that are released throughout “Septic Shock“, at some points the other songs on this album venture in the electronic body music of Nitzer Ebb – but only partly. I had never heard of this outfit prior to the release, so there are a lot of interesting and different conclusions you can draw from the music itself.

Exclusive Premiere: Lapse Of Reason – Go Away

Khemia Records are putting out yet another intriguing release, this time their first compilation, titled “Tertium Organum” – a reference and name taken from P.D. Ouspensky’s philosophical synthesis from 1922. The release is what one could expect from Khemia, a sound that is applicable to the masses but works inwards to a whole different set of sub-genres.

Somehow they’ve managed to curate a compilation that will appeal to more people then their regular crowd, a feat not easily captured from the underground. We’re excited to be working with them again, providing to you what we think is one of the best tracks on this compilation – “Go Away” by Lapse Of Reason.

Exclusive Premiere: David Bremer – Hotel Solitude

An homage to the solitary lifestyle of the “global” musician or DJ? An ode to all the nights spent thinking about what could’ve been done better, where one should’ve been otherwise? The titles of the tracks suggests so.

David Bremer is surprisingly vivid musically for a first time listener and experienced field recordings listener, there’s a coating of overwhelming ambient music that drives the point home musically in tracks that are unusually short for these kinds of genres – in “Paradise Refuted” – his first “proper” release in years, on Fang Bomb.

The music itself is unsettling and doesn’t paint the picture of globalism in a positive light, it is like modern architecture – something that should be in the scrapyard of the past. A brutalistic take musically as if derived directly from the style of architecture itself, depressive, nihilistic, hollow – three words we find describe it the best. Don’t forget to strap in, as there’s a hint of hope beneath the layers upon layers of destructiveness – a glimmer of light that seeps through the cracks.

We’re just waiting to be at that end station where everything suddenly shines, or when the rain finally pours down a warm summer night – like the nights we’ve had before, at least here in Sweden, not too long ago. The sudden realization that everything can be over in a snap, the realization that months of agony have finally come to a halt. There are many emotions that overwhelm you when listening to “Paradise Refuted“.

Some people would just consider it to be background noise, but there’s a lot going on that you have to have a keen ear to be susceptible to, it is like your inner mind getting rid of every noisy encounter you’ve had throughout the day – every meaningless thought that have gone, a relocation of your soul into the music and the soul restored in yourself.

Exclusive Premiere: Fléau – IV

Anywave are back in action with a new Fléau release, it was a long time since they released their first self-titled album, three years have already passed like it was nothing. Together with their partner in crime, Atelier Ciseaux Records, a five-track album titled “II” will be released on a limited edition run of vinyls, a collector’s edition of 50 hand-numbered transparent vinyls and a book by Raphaël Lugassy called “Organs“, and a regular edition of 200 black vinyls. The artwork for the release is stunning as usual, the work of Myriam Barchechat, photographies by Raphaël Lugassy.

It is very true that Mathieu Mégemont‘s (Fléau) new direction strays away from his original sound, but it introduces a whole other complexity found otherwise within more alternative electronic genres – creeping in between the ambiguous nature of the sweeping, soothing landscapes of sound that hook you in. Even though some aspects of his new release stays true to what he created on his debut-album, this newly developed and intriguing metamorphosis suggests he’s expanded – instead of becoming cliché.

Exclusive Premiere: Knifesex – Living Flame

Finally, Vanessa Irena of Knifesex – as she calls her solo-project – is getting a proper debut-release via 3t3rnal Records on the 17th of November. Repartiseraren have gotten the exclusive opportunity to premiere a full track from her album “Babalon“. According to herself the inspiration for this release have come through an appreciation of the occult, a dedication to the apocalyptic. The ritualistic nature of her music is expanded upon in this release, for those of you who’ve heard “Blood From Stone” from the first compilation on Repartiseraren will not be disappointed – it is more of the same and even furthers the experimental, but ambitious electronic sound.

There is no secret either that she draws these inspirations together within a feminist approach. The album consists of seven songs and we’re going to give you “Living Flame” to listen to, a week before the release-date. Exclusive Premiere: Ele Ypsis – Diplotene

With stunning aesthetic visuals provided by Svartaphotography, the ethereal vision of Ele Ypsis collapses and is built up within their latest album “Meiosis“. Musically it would not stand on its own with just the percussive IDM and breakbeat sounds, ambient it’d be a shell of what it could be – together with Laure Le Prunenec’s vocals – everything starts and ends in total disharmonious harmony. A double-edged metaphysical sword thrust deep within yourself. What a marvelous piece of music everything on this album is. One can not, however, underestimate Stélian Derenne’s craftiness when it comes to the musical composition, as the vocals benefit largely from that suspicious and ever changing atmosphere.

We’re glad to be premiering the best song on that release, which is: “Diplotene“, as it boils down into a common denominator in terms of how the album can be perceived, what elements are best fitted together with each other and how music really can stand out from the norm – in terms of ambition and overall quality. It is an outrageously great song and we were surprised by it ourselves, having listened to it over and over again.

Excusive Premiere: Michael Idehall – Dream Circuitry

Michael Idehall have been featured here countless times, but he never ceases to improve in regards to his industrial music (seancetronica) – now releasing his eighth album, if you only count full, solo releases. His work spans from the occult and back into electronic music, beyond any comprehension at times and sometimes in the realm of fathomable. With this album on the German label Raubbau, titled “Machine Spirit Transmission” – he widens his approach exponentially, including more beat-oriented sounds in terms of a general theme musically.

Aesthetically it features a new emblazoned symbol which we don’t know the inherent meaning about, but for those eager to know about the symbolism of Michael Idehall (the project), you should venture through his gates and into The Hermetic Library. Without knowing all to much, Aleister Crowley seems to be an influence in terms of the occult and esoteric nature in which music like this is created.

We’re pleased to announce to you that we’ve teamed up with Raubbau to bring you a full track from the forthcoming album. “Dream Circuitry” is the middle-point in which this album is construed, or at least that’s how we feel about it. Tune in and remember to buy the physical tape from the Raubbau distributer ant-zen, or simply order the digital release from Raubbau if you prefer it that way. The release date for it is on the 25th of October.

 

Exclusive Premiere: Interactive – The Bass Is On Fire

Surrealistic techno, ambivalent new beat music and a large chunk of industrial is what could best describe Interactive. The 90’s duo have a plethora of singles and EPs to choose from, but only three albums in total – two of which were more of compilations then a proper album anyway. So it is with pleasure that we’ve dug in and taken out “The Bass Is On Fire” for exclusive premiere here on Repartiseraren, in collaboration with Mecanica Records. This is a re-issue that also contains something new – a remix by Ancient Methods of the title-track “The Techno Wave“.

What we like about the one we’re premiering, from the b-side, is the roughness and unrelenting experimental sound which they’ve produced. It is more industrial then it is new beat but still in the latter genre – which makes it a whole lot more interesting then contemporary music in the same style. So we present to you this song and hope you’ll enjoy listening to it. Some may even venture to say that it is techno as well – which is true in a sense – as it stems from the Frankfurt Tekkno scene.

Video Premiere: Man, Woman, Friend, Computer – Exordium/Outgrown

Man, Woman, Friend, Computer released their debut-album self-titled album last year and now Yuliya Tsukerman (of Mana Contemporary) have created a music-video titled: “Exordium/Outgrown“. The music is electroacoustic pop music, with experimental tendencies. It is exciting to see such craftsmanship when it comes to music-videos.

The methods Yuliya have used are one-hundred percent analog. With the help of centuries old Czech marionette-techniques, the dolls are paired with modern materials and objects, creating a story that is moving. It is the story of a spaceman coming to terms with his own isolation and loss as he cares for an injured alien. A narrative is created – analogue versus digital – a re-imaginative trip from old to new – pairing them both, but  telling them apart as well.
